We turn routine pathology slides into clinical-grade precision tests for cancer.

A world where all cancer patients, thanks to AI tests, get the best available care at the right time.
We exist to catalyze precision medicine, spearheading scalable AI grounded in medical science to deliver transformative tests for patients, hand in hand with the healthcare partners that share the same mission.
Our story
Waiv was founded in 2026 as a spin-out of Owkin, where our team spent years building and clinically validating AI-powered diagnostics as Owkin Dx. As an independent company led by its co-founders CEO Meriem Sefta and CSTO Lionel Guillou, Waiv now focuses on turning routine pathology slides into clinical-grade precision tests, with several products already deployed including RlapsRisk® BC, the MSIntuit® Suite, and BRCAura™ RUO, delivered through our Destra platform.
We're backed by $35M in total financing. OTB Ventures and Alpha Intelligence Capital co-led our initial round in March 2026, with participation from Serena Data Ventures, Karista, and SistaFund. CRB Health Tech joined in April 2026 as our platform moved into clinical deployment and commercial expansion.

Our values
We work toward shared goals with humility, kindness, and the assumption of good intent, because the problems we're solving are too important for ego.
We value speed, experimentation, and forward progress over excessive planning. We learn by doing, testing, and iterating.
We hold ourselves to the highest scientific standards, questioning our own work and each other's with a critical eye, so that everything we deliver is solid, trustworthy, and safe.
We turn ideas into business decisions and product execution that ultimately drive patient impact.
Trusted by industry leaders
We collaborate with global pharmaceutical companies at every stage of the biomarker journey.
Finding the tissue signals that matter, directly from whole-slide images.

Biomarker discovery for an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) program, spanning H&E and IHC tumor microenvironment analysis.
Identifying the right patients for your trial from routine slides.

Bringing AI-powered tests into clinical practice.

Co-developing BRCAura, an AI gBRCA pre-screen for breast cancer, initiated through the PortrAIt consortium.
